The Oregon Garden is now recruiting new volunteers for the coming summer season and offering a variety of informational and training sessions. We’re hoping you can help us spread the word – information follows…
Have you been thinking of becoming an Oregon Garden volunteer? This is the perfect time to get started! Join us at one of our New Volunteer Welcome sessions—we have a variety of times available. Learn about the Oregon Garden and our volunteer program. You will also have a chance to speak to current volunteers and ask questions about the various positions and departments!
Volunteer positions include gardening, greenhouse, planting annuals, Garden Greeters, Tour Guide, Plant Information Team, Visitor Center/Gift Shop, Retail Nursery, and the new GPS Mapping Project.
The GPS team is working to map the garden (plant material, trees and hardscaping) with GPS in order to create searchable maps and plant information sheets that will be available to the public. Volunteer positions with the GPS team include: GPS data collection, plant identification, photography, data  entry, plant research, and working with the GIS software.
