Art in Cannon Beach

The Cannon Beach Gallery Group continues a year of art and culture featuring the first annual Earth & Ocean Arts Festival, an unparalleled experience for the art lover.

The festival includes experiences on the beach and throughout the town:

  • New York City’s Artichoke Dance Company will perform an interactive dance piece with a land art installation and other performances
  • Beach activities: Raku Firings on the beach with ceramicists Dave and Boni Deal, Land Art Creations and Plein Air Painting
  • Dualing Easels painting demonstrations with Michael Orwick and Anton Pavlenko
  • Performances at the Coaster Theater by Alice DiMicele who has shared the stage with artists such as Joan Baez and Bonnie Raitt
  • Informative panel discussions with local environmental non-profits
  • Local Galleries hosting artists receptions with live music and demonstrations

The Festival is partnering with and raising funds for five local environmental non-profits: Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve, Friends of Haystack Rock, North Coast Land Conservancy, Sea Turtles Forever and Wildlife Center of the North Coast.
