Abbey Bach Festival – Selka performs Mozart Clarinet Quintet

8 pm – Feature concert: Ron Selka, principal clarinetist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, joins the Fine Arts Quartet in the Mozart Clarinet Quintet in a program that begins with a Philip Glass String Quartet and ends with Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet no. 3
The four short works by Glass were conceived as theater pieces composed for the Mabou Mines production of the Samuel Beckett play Company at the Public Theater. They were later published as String Quartet no. 2 in a version for a string orchestra.
