The Great Oregon Steam-Up

We’re delighted to invite you to the award-winning family extravaganza, The Great Oregon Steam-Up, a dynamic two-weekend festival celebrating Oregon’s mechanical history in motion. Voted the “Best Annual Event” in the Willamette Valley for two consecutive years, this remarkable event is a fantastic blend of fun, education, and family bonding you won’t want to miss.

What makes The Great Oregon Steam-Up such an outstanding experience? It’s an opportunity to dive into a world of historical marvels that shaped Oregon and the world. The “Parade of Power” showcases an astonishing array of steam traction engines, tractors, fire engines, trucks, and cars in action!

For the youngsters in your family, we have a multitude of engaging activities, like the thrill of rides on the 1/8th scale trains at Willow Creek Railroad or rides on a 100-year-old trolley from overseas! They can also enjoy a firefighting challenge course, compete in pedal tractor pulling, pan for gold, and marvel at an intricate LEGO display. Plus, the Youth Passport Hunt promises a thrilling quest across the event, where kids can collect pins and be entered into a drawing with some great prizes!

Live demonstrations are another cornerstone of Steam-Up. Witness the craftsmanship of blacksmithing, the artistry of threshing, binding, and logging, the ingenuity of flour milling, and the power of steam-driven sawmilling.
