Enjoy a wild day celebrating trout, trout chasers, and the lower Deschutes River at the Deschutes River Alliance TroutFest, Saturday, June 3 in Maupin.
Entry is free and there are activities all day starting at 10 a.m. Entry to TroutFest is free and the daytime activities take place at the Oasis Campground in Maupin.
The day starts at 10 a.m. with displays and products from the best fishing gear manufacturers and the finest fly shops in Central Oregon.
Beginning at 11 a.m. there are fly fishing and outdoor activities and presentations for the whole family until to 5:30 p.m. With more than 20 different sessions, there is something for everyone from young to old, and beginner to advanced anglers.
When you get hungry or thirsty, food will be available, and the Freebridge and pFriem beer garden will quench any thirst. If you like fly casting, make sure you attend or enter, the casting competition starting at 5 p.m. It will certainly be a show of skill you don’t want to miss.
The evening ends with a concert from 7-9 p.m. at the Oasis Cabins featuring West Supply Company. Make sure you mark your calendars for Saturday, June 3, and plan to spend the day in Maupin at TroutFest.
