The Corvallis Sustainability Coalition is launching a series of Solar House Parties, hosted by Corvallis residents who are realizing the benefits of solar energy. The first house party will take place on Wednesday, June 28, at 7 pm.
· Are you a homeowner?
· Interested in exploring solar for your home?
If you answered “YES” to both of these questions, then you’re invited!
Each party will include informal conversation, a brief program about solar energy and financing opportunities, a chance to ask questions – and delicious refreshments.
Corvallis area homeowners who would like to attend the June 28th party are asked to contact host Martha Clemons (mclemons65@gmail.com) for the address. Community members who are not able to attend this month but would like to attend a future party may contact info@sustainablecorvallis.org.
The Solar House Parties are part of Harvest Sunshine – a 5-year campaign to more than double the amount of solar in Corvallis within five years – from 840 rooftops in 2015 to 2,000 rooftops in 2020.
With state and federal tax credits still in effect, there’s never been a better time to install solar. For homeowners who are considering making the transition to solar energy, NOW is the time, before tax credits are discontinued.
