The “John Rock Collection” is a tribute to the diverse talent of John Henry Rock (1919-1993).
Rock graduated from Oregon State College in 1951. His professional career as
Oregon State University art professor spanned from 1958 until his retirement
in 1985.

John Rock’s paintings and prints have been shown in dozens of regional, national,
and international exhibitions. The “John Rock Collection” is a collaborative
exhibition showcasing art from the collections of OSU College of Agricultural
Sciences, Art About Agriculture, Fairbanks Gallery, OSU Memorial Union,
Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, Benton County Historical Society,
Mr. Rock’s family, and private collectors throughout the Willamette Valley.
