To showcase local eateries, the Monmouth – Independence Chamber of Commerce has organized “The Crawl: A Taste of Monmouth and Independence” on Saturday, August 17 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The inaugural event highlights local restaurants from both cities coming together for a night of hospitality and enjoyment.
The event features a wide variety of tastes to excite everyone’s pallet from pizza and Chinese to classic American fare. Participating restaurants are Sing Fay, West Coast Pizza Company, Main St. Pub and Eatery, Crush Wine Bar and Tasting Room, J’s 99 Grill, and Andy’s Café at Ragin River.
Adding another beneficial event to the community, the Chamber aimed to highlight two local favorites: food and beverages. Executive Director Jean Love said. “The Crawl will offer a new and fun experience for our community as we highlight participating member restaurants. Crawlers will get to enjoy bite-sized tastes of a variety of food while experiencing the ambiance of the restaurants. We look forward to The Crawl and making it an annual event.”
Affordably priced at just $15 each, drink specials not included, tickets are limited and must be purchased by August 13th. Beginning at Volunteer Hall located behind Monmouth City Hall, groups will depart on a circuit of fun and festivities with transportation provided during the tour, then return to Volunteer Hall for desserts and raffle drawings.
