Giustina Gallery is hosting a Sea Grant art exhibit titled “An Ocean of Impact,” in support of the OSU’s 150th anniversary and the upcoming OSU150 Sea Grant Festival in February. The exhibit celebrates Oregon State University’s many years of stewardship in protecting our coasts and oceans, and all who depend on them.
The exhibit runs Feb. 1- March 5 in The LaSells Stewart Center on the Corvallis campus. An opening reception takes place from 6-8 p.m., Feb. 1 in the Giustina Gallery.
Art work will exemplify the work of the coastal community, Oregon Sea Grant scholars and faculty, the waters and lands where they work, as well as the relationships of harvesting and protecting our oceans and the sea life.
Mediums include painting, wood block, sculpture, glass and even fish-print (gyotaku). Featured artists include Jerri Bartholomew, Kevin Clark, Heather Fortner, Analee Fuentes, Jeff Goldberg, Humberto Gonzalez, Chi Meredith, Becky Miller, Michael Rangner, Erik Sandgren, Nelson Sandgren and William Shumway.
