It’s Tequila Time again at Corvallis’ del Alma!

Corvallis’ del Alma restaurant will have Clayton Szczech of “Experience Tequila” (www.experiencetequila.com) back for another Tequila dinner on Thursday, September 14th at 6:00pm! This special dining experience includes learning more about Tequila and its rich history, and how to enjoy tequila as a spirit to be sipped and savored in the context of a pairing dinner. The evening will start with an informative presentation and tasting led by Clayton, followed by a five course dinner featuring pairings with a selection of tequilas, both as stand-alone sippers and incorporated into cocktails created by the bar team. The menu is listed below and also on the del Alma website on the “Events” page. Price is $75/person (does not include gratuity).

First Course
“Coctel” de Camarone y Almejas
Shrimp and clam “cocktail” served with tomato, cucumber, serrano chile, onion, and fresh corn tortillas filled with guacamole

Second Course
Sweet Corn Sopa
Served with grilled octopus and smoked oyster salad, guajillo salsa, toasted bread crumbs

Third Course
Torta Ahogadas
Sandwich filled with crispy pork belly, queso botanero, onions, black bean purée, served with warm chile de arbol salsa, pickled onions, avocado crema, jalapeño escabeche, radish

Fourth Course
Roasted Whole Lamb Birria
Pulled whole roasted lamb, achiote pork fat fried potatoes, seasonal vegetables, spinach and goat cheese taquito, birria jus

Fifth Course
Jericalla con Buñuelos
Jalisco-style custard with fried buñuelos dusted with cinnamon sugar, lavender anglaise, honey aglaise, blackberries, walnuts, lavender Chantilly cream
